NEWS AND FORTHCOMING EVENTS

CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION AT THE 7TH DECEMBER DEMONSTRATION

We thought it would be fun to have a Christmas Card competition for our members, to be judged by popular vote at our demonstration on 7th December.   The rules (such as they are) are to paint or draw an original Christmas card or alternatively enter a printed card that you have produced from your own work.  The front of the card should be no larger than A5 (15cm x 21cm), it can be portrait or landscape format and you don't need to provide an envelope with it.   Bring your entries along to the demo and they'll be displayed anonymously (if you have a small table display stand to hold your card do bring that along too).  The card that gets the most votes will win a Christmas pudding and it will be announced at the end of the demo, when we will all toast the winner with a glass of prosecco.   You can, of course, also look forward to a super demo by Trevor Waugh on Flower Painting in Oils starting at 2.30pm.  Hope to see you there.

WORKSHOP NEWS - AND ANOTHER ADDITIONAL WORKSHOP ADDED TO OUR CALENDAR!

Max Hale's workshop, 'Water mixable oils', on Saturday 18th January in North Warnborough Village Hall still has a couple of spaces left.  It will run from 9.30 - 4pm (approx) and the fee is £30.

In addition we also have a new date for the diary.  Oliver Pyle will be running a workshop on painting 'Watercolour Reflections' on Saturday 15th February.  This will be in North Warnborough Village Hall as usual and the fee for the day will £45 per person (due to increased costs).  Please contact Diane by email diane.floralart@gmail.com as soon as possible if you wish to book on any of the workshops, places are only confirmed on payment of the fee due.
